About

Ned was born in York County, South Carolina on September 13, 1945. He became licensed as a bonds person in 1984 and was a continuous member of the South Carolina Bail Agents Association from 1984 to 2007. He held all offices, including President for two years. He was also a member of the Board of Directors continuously each year from 1984 until 2007 and served as their Lobbyist for eight years.

Ned L. Polk, Sr. was also a former Lobbyist, past President and Director of the State Association, and was unanimously elected to the Hall of Fame by its members.

Ned previously owned two bail bond companies in North Carolina before owning his company based in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Ned is currently in the process of organizing two State Associations: The South Carolina Professional and Surety Bondsmen Association and The South Carolina Alcohol/Electronics/Satellite Monitoring Association.

In addition to bail bonds, Ned also does insurance and house rentals.

Bail Bonds School

Mr. Polk, Sr. has trained 10 bail bond agents though his company since 1984. Six of his trainees are still in the bail bond business and one has become a successful doctor in Columbia S. C. (Dr. Will Floyd).

As an approved Bail Bond Course Instructor under the S. C. DOI, Ned has assisted other instructors with approximately 15 Classes. He’s also conducted approximately five of his own classes using their approved material at his bail bondsman school.
